1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using the Filarr software (the "Software"), you agree to these terms of service (the "Terms"). If you do not accept them, do not use the Software.

2. Software description

Filarr is a desktop application (Windows, macOS, Linux) that runs entirely locally on your device. It offers:

  • Local AES-256-GCM encryption of all files
  • Rich note editor with multiple views
  • Graph view connecting notes and files
  • Multi-profile with cryptographic isolation
  • 51+ file format preview

3. License

The Software is distributed under the AGPL-3.0 license. The following rights are granted to you:

  • Use the Software for any personal or professional purpose
  • Install it on as many devices as you wish
  • Export your data at any time

4. Pricing

Filarr is currently free. All features are included without restriction. No credit card is required. Optional paid features (cloud sync) may be offered in the future.

5. Your data

Your files and data belong entirely to you. The Software runs locally — we have no access to your data.

Important — encryption key: If you lose your password, your encrypted data will be permanently inaccessible. We technically cannot recover your encryption key.

6. Limitation of liability

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for data loss resulting from the loss of your password.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Intellectual property

The "Filarr" trademark, logo, and visual identity remain the property of Mathis Belouar-Pruvot. You may not use the Filarr trademark without prior written permission.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent French courts, unless otherwise provided by applicable law in your country of residence.

9. Changes

We may modify these Terms. Changes will be indicated by updating the date at the top of this page.
